Veteran Hong Kong actor Benz Hui passed away on Oct 28 due to multiple organ failure caused by cancer. He was 76.
A memorial service was held at the Po Fook Memorial Hall in Tai Wai on Monday (Nov 17), where family, friends and fans gathered to pay their final respects.
Many prominent figures from the industry attended – including Bosco Wong, Dayo Wong, Nick Cheung, Charmaine Sheh and more.
The funeral ceremony took place the next day at 11am, with actors Michael Miu, Bobby Au-yeung, Mak Cheung-ching, Louis Yuen, Eddie Kwan and more serving as pallbearers.
After the service concluded at 12.30pm, Hui’s 28-year-old daughter Charmaine was seen leaving the hall carrying her late father’s portrait.
Charmaine, accompanied by her mother Angeli Lung and other family members, then proceeded to Fu Shan Crematorium for the cremation.
Lung was seen weeping as she alighted from the motorcade, supported by relatives.
Sheh – who also attended – was visibly overcome with grief, her eyes red and swollen from crying.
She was accompanied by singer-actress Toby Leung as she entered the crematorium.
