Instant hit: The team from the United Arab Emirates putting on a lively show.

PUTRAJAYA: The night sky in this federal administrative city was lit up with a breathtaking fireworks display from six countries.

A crowd, comprising locals and foreign tourists, waited patiently for the respective nations to show what they could do at the Putrajaya International Fireworks.

Awestruck gasps could be heard from the thousands who gathered at the lake that magnified the stunning displays with the reflection on it.

The countries that took part in the competition were China, United Arab Emirates, the United States, South Korea and France. Malaysia put on its own work of splendour, too.
