MCO: Nine police roadblocks set up in KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Nine roadblocks in the city have been set up as of May 8 as part of the latest round of the movement control order.

The nine locations are Jalan Sentul Pasar in front of the Kepong police station; Federal Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur; Old Klang Road; Jalan 2/27a Wangsa Melawati; Jalan 1/91 Taman Shamelin Perkasa and Lebuhraya Bukit Jalil.

Roadblocks have also been set up at the Jalan Duta and Sungai Besi toll plazas.

City deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Yong Lei Choo, in a statement Saturday (May 8), said patrols would also be increased to enforce compliance.

"The police urges everyone to obey instructions and SOPs of MCO3.0, as well as to cooperate with the police so we can flatten the infection curve.

"The police also urges everyone to travel only if necessary so that the health of yourself, your family and the public is preserved," she said.
