Anwar attends AR Rahman concert in Bukit Jalil


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the "AR Rahman: Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024" concert at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on Saturday (July 27) night

The event, featuring renowned Indian composer and music producer AR Rahman, attracted thousands of fans of Tamil music.

Accompanying Anwar was Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk R Ramanan.

Known for his love of Tamil songs, Anwar was seen gleefully enjoying the concert with Ramanan.

Rahman is no stranger to these shores, first performing in Malaysia at the Shah Alam Stadium in 1996.

His concert in 2023 saw him performing to a crowd of over 60,000 people.

The concert on Saturday marked the seventh visit of India’s music superstar to Malaysia and was organised by Star Planet.
